It is now certain that the Polish WB Group will produce its Gladius and FT-5 drones for the Polish Army. For this purpose, our authorities have signed a contract worth as much as PLN 2 billion.
The WB Group will provide the Polish Army with both Gladius and FT-5 drones
According to the agreement already approved by the head of the Ministry of National Defense, Mariusz Błaszczak, the Polish Army will have as many as several hundred FT-5 reconnaissance drones and Gladius strike drones. The first deliveries will be made this year and will include deliveries of equipment to branches stationed in eastern Poland.

The contract is the largest in history when it comes to the purchase of unmanned systems, because it exceeds both the contract for Orliki (~ PLN 800 million) and Bayraktar TB2 (USD 270 million). In practice, the FT-5 will provide troops with an extensive vision of the battlefield, and Gladius drones will be primarily intended for precise targeting of targets at a range of 100 km.
