Polish FlyEye drones have already flown over 1000 hours on the border with Belarus

The Polish company WB Electronics has been offering FlyEye drones for many years, which are used by both Polish and Ukrainian services, as these Polish drones have been controlling Ukrainian artillery for a long time. Access to them is also available to soldiers of the Territorial Defense Forces, who have been using them on the Polish-Belarusian border as part of a special operation for over 7 months, because in general FlyEye has already served in the Territorial Defense Forces since 2019.

How do Polish FlyEye drones guard our border and save immigrants from oppression?

Polish FlyEye drones take part in the so-called Operation Strong Support in the number of 48 copies and from the very beginning they spent over 1000 hours in the air, performing 500 missions mainly at night. As part of them, they thwarted more than 1,000 attempts to illegally cross the Polish border, which in the present times of anxiety is even worth its weight in gold when it comes to our eastern border. Thanks to the information they provide to the soldiers, they also saved “lives several times” after migrants, unaware of the terrain conditions, risked their lives, one of which once got stuck in a swamp. In such situations, a rescue group comes into action.

When it comes to the capabilities of this equipment, each FlyhEye version 3.0 is 1.8 meters long and has a wingspan of 3.6 meters. It is made of composite, which guarantees it a low take-off weight of 12 kg, thanks to which it is enough to operate with a single electric motor and simply “throwing” into the air during take-off. In terms of range, everything is broken down to the type of communication, because in the case of a traditional radio link, FlyEye 3.0 can contact operators distant 50 km, and in connection with a special station – up to 300 km.
