Push, pull or push-pull? What does a good case fan do in different installation variants?
Since our readers have repeatedly requested the tests as push, pull and push-pull variants, we simply combine today’s post-test of a top-of-the-range fan with this request. Almost 28 euros are certainly not cheap, but still significantly cheaper than an ARGB fan from other premium brands. Blacknoise advertises the BP12x-P-BL PWM ARGB noise blocker with a particularly quiet run of the bionic fan, which relies on the proven rotor blade design and a magnetic barometric bearing.
If you have a kind of déjà vu now, you are not subject to deception, because we already had this model, but with a white frame, in the test. The manufacturer has already corrected the errors found there in the technical data and has now also replaced our faulty test sample. Reason enough to expand the test a little today!
On the next page you can see again how and what we test how and, above all, why. Understanding the details is extremely important in order to be able to classify the results objectively later. The differences between many models are more in the details and the best fan for all situations can hardly exist. There is a certain optimum in every situation and of course there are also good all-rounders. But they usually have their price.
The BL in the name stands for Black Edition and consequently there is now a black frame with excellent decoupling. The entire rotor is not white, but transparent and is illuminated from inside the hub. The ARGB control is compatible with all motherboards with 5V ARGB headers, regardless of what the manufacturer may call it. 120,000 hours of MTBF are also a certain amount of security and a self-confident statement.
These fans are of course in the upper class in the range of 27 to 30 euros per street price. We can see today whether money is also well ventilated. After the test you are always smarter and we can also spoil the fact that this copy runs significantly better than the defective test sample from the first comparison, especially without any background noise.
