Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G may be coming soon: the features

A new Qualcomm SoC it could be coming: it should be called Snapdragon 768G, and will likely debut with some variants of the Redmi K30 5G next week. We briefly mentioned the possible arrival of this chip just a few hours ago, but there were not enough elements to understand if it was a dealer error or something more concrete was under it; now some more concrete information has appeared on Twitter. Of course, everything must be taken with the proverbial springs, given that the source is not very solid, however this is what:

• CPU:
  • 1 core at 2.8 GHz
  • 1 2.4 GHz core
  • 6 cores at 1.8 GHz
• GPU: Adreno 620 at 750 MHz

Compared to S765G, therefore, frequencies increase by 400 MHz on the flagship core, 200 on the other at high power and remain unchanged on the six high efficiency cores; the GPU instead gains 125 MHz. In total, the source always says, the performance gain can be quantified in about 10% theoretical; the prototype that assembled it reached 360,000 points – it is not specified where, but it is very easy to assume that we are talking about AnTuTu, given that S765G stands at around 330,000.
