Radeon RX 6600 XT e RX 6600: GPU Navi 23 con 2048 e 1796 stream processor?

After the Radeon RX 6700 XT, AMD is expected to expand the offer of video cards based on RDNA 2 architecture with models Radeon RX 6600 XT e RX 6600. According to rumors from China (via Videocardz), both solutions will be based on the new one Navi GPU 23.

The Radeon RX 6600 XT may have a graphics chip with 2048 stream processor attivi, that is a Navi 23 with the maximum available resources. There RX 6600instead, it would count on 1792 stream processor, which means AMD will shut down 4 Compute Units.

As for video memory, both cards should have 8 GB of GDDR6 memory at 16 Gbps on 128-bit bus, and it is plausible that there is even less Infinity Cache inside the graphics chip than the RX 6700 XT’s Navi 22 GPU. We could therefore see a further reduction, with a drop from 96 to 64 MB.

As regards the performance, the rumors indicate a value of 9439 points in 3DMark Time Spy (Graphics) for the 6600 XT, while the smooth RX 6600 would score 7805 points. These results would indicate similar performance cards to the “old” Radeon RX 5700 XT and 5700. Recall that the 6700 XT proved to be around 30% faster than the RX 5700 XT.

It should also not be forgotten that in the past months there has often been talk of the possible arrival of a smooth Radeon RX 6700, characterized by a Navi 22 GPU with 2304 stream processors and 6 GB of GDDR6 memory on 192-bit bus, in spite of the 2560 SP and 12 GB of memory in the 6700 XT.
