In the offer of the hated by many players Razer, we could not find … a monitor so far. Well, it was hard to expect such a product from a company specializing in computer peripherals, but we could only say that for several dozen hours. All because Razer is preparing the Raptor 27 gaming monitor.
You probably already guessed that one of its most characteristic features will of course be … backlight. But no – non-additional pixel illumination, but an advanced RGB system … quite modest, I admit, but still spectacular for sure, thanks to the Razer Chroma technology. However, this is, of course, something that the vast majority of us turn a blind eye to. On this much more important side of the barricade we deal with a 27-inch IPS display with WQHD resolution (2560 × 1440) with 1 ms delay, surrounded by even minimal frames (2.3 mm). Its specificity is complemented by a refreshment at 144 Hz, support for FreeSync and HDR 400 mode with a brightness of 420 nits. Razer also claims that the matrix is capable of displaying 95% of the colors in the DCI-P3 gamut.
Raptor 27, whose name suggests the imminent premiere of more monitors, will also offer a large number of connectors. I am talking about HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, USB-C and two USB 3.0 pass through type, access to which is facilitated by the possibility of rotating the monitor 90 degrees and easy management of cables in an integrated system. Its price is to be $ 699.99, although it will not hit the market in a dozen or so weeks in the USA and Canada. In turn, I wonder if the backlight on the stand was not the reason why Razer gave up the VESA mounting bracket.
