RMK finally showed a working prototype of its E2 electric motorcycle

In the coming years, the segment of electric motorcycles is not so much renaissance as it is the long-awaited development. All you need to do is take a look at the manufacturers who either make announcements or have already presented their ideas for two-wheeled zero-emission models. One of them is the Finnish startup RMK, which finally showed a working prototype of its E2 electric motorcycle.

The completion of the one-of-a-kind copy of the E2 now means that RMK is now open to cooperation and can visit either crowdfunding campaigns or investor salons. Currently, the startup’s plan is to build production plants in Finland as soon as possible in order to maintain operations at the local level. Support for the domestic economy and, of course, success on the market is to be ensured by E2.

It is an electric motorcycle for both leisure and ordinary means of transport from A to B. It is not a performance devil or the best of its kind, but it must be admitted that its design is at least eye-catching. In its current version, it offers 67 horsepower with 320 Nm of torque on the rear wheel. This, combined with a fairly low weight (200 kg), is supposed to ensure solid acceleration and maximum speed. However, it is hard not to feel that it is closer to a scooter than a flesh-and-blood motorcycle for real geeks.

E2 is also to offer good quality shock absorbers, “one of the largest batteries available on the motorcycle market, allowing you to travel from 200 to 300 km”, a braking system based on the right lever on the handlebar, coupled to the disc brake on the front wheel and the left lever that supports regenerative braking on the rear wheel. The whole will be complemented by extensive lighting, two mirrors and a small information panel under the steering wheel. Price, market launch and delivery are unfortunately unknown.
