RX 6700M-based AMD mining graphics released

A few weeks ago we heard rumors that AMD was preparing a new line of exclusive GPUs for mining, and now images of an exclusive model for mining based on the Radeon RX 6700M have come to light, which gives force to these rumors.

Unlike what the original rumor indicated, this photographed model is not assembled directly by AMD, but was assembled by XFX, since we can see its logo clearly in the PCI-Express slot of the card. In this way, it seems that finally the mining line will end up being sold by the partners and not directly by AMD as was believed, which will help its distribution thanks to the existing channels of the different partners.

Returning to this particular graph, the capture in GPU-Z taken by the user who had access to this graph reveals that it has 2304 Stream Processors and 10GB of GDDR6 memory through a 160-bit bus, such as the RX 6700M, so this variant of Navi 22 was apparently repurposed to sell mining GPUs in addition to the notebook GPUs it was originally intended for.

Regarding its hashrate, it reaches about 39.06MH / s, with high temperatures of 92 ° C since fans were not placed on its back as it should be done when placing it in a rack, where this version is oriented. Unfortunately there are no details on its consumption, which is a key aspect when choosing a GPU for mining.

It will be interesting to see if AMD ends up publicly announcing this new line of mining GPUs or continues to keep it a secret to large buyers as it is doing for now. We will keep you updated in case of news.

What do you think about this new line of dedicated mining GPUs from AMD? Would you buy them if they reached our market?
