After the great success of the Ryzen 5 1600 AF, AMD is starting to distribute an AF version of its Ryzen 3 1200, an interesting alternative for basic desktop PCs that costs less than $ 60 according to the first listings.
Like the Ryzen 3 1200 AE (The original model), it has 4 cores and 4 threads, with a base frequency of 3.1GHz and boost to 3.4GHz. The difference is that it is based on Zen + at 12nm instead of Zen at 14nm, resulting in better efficiency and performance, as well as better compatibility with ram memories. Unlike the Ryzen 5 1600 AF that brought a better cooler than its original AE version, this one brings the same Wraith Stealth as the original model.
Even AMD did not officially confirm the existence of this model, although we can already see it in European stores such as Barax, who has it listed by 54.73 Euros, a little less than 60 dollars. It is undoubtedly an interesting model for low-end PCs, although it must be borne in mind that we must add a dedicated graphic in order to have video, and there the cost increases. It will be interesting to see how it performs and if it reaches more markets.
