Ryzen 7000 processors for laptops would have up to 16 cores

According to the renowned leaker “niceming“The AMD Ryzen 7000 for ‘Raphael-H’ laptops could feature up to 16 cores, doubling the number of cores available in laptop CPUs.” The information was verified by Greymon55, another well-known leaker who has revealed multiple correct information in the past.

“Raphael-H” will be based on Zen 4 and possibly have LPDDR5 support if it follows in the footsteps of its desktop sibling that will mark the debut of the AM5 platform with DDR5 support. Adding LPDDR5 plus 16 cores and 32 threads Zen 4 could deliver incredible laptop performance that could even outperform most current desktop models, putting AMD in an incredible position in the laptop market.

Recall that Intel will offer Alder Lake models for laptops with up to 14 cores, although only 6 will be high-performance cores, while the other 8 will be high-efficiency cores, adding a total of 14 cores and 20 threads. This configuration will obviously not be enough to compete against the high-performance 16-core, 32-thread CPUs that AMD will launch, although we may see an increase in cores with the arrival of Raptor Lake, which will double the high-efficiency cores on the desktop, reaching a total of 16, so maybe they will also double in laptops to stay competitive.

Given that for now this is all about hearsay, we recommend taking it with a grain of salt, although it would undoubtedly be good for those who work with laptops to have the possibility to choose a model with a CPU of up to 16 cores and 32 threads for maximum performance. . We will keep you posted on any news, so stay tuned to HD Tecnología.

What do you think about this rumor? Would you like to see Ryzen 7000 processors for laptops with up to 16 cores?
