Scalability of Ethereum using the Bitcoin Cash Blockchain

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin proposed using the Bitcoin Cash block as a temporary scalability solution for the Ethereum network. The developer presented a summary of the idea in a post on the ethreser.ch website.

Currently, developers are working on Ethereum 2.0, a major network review to improve the scalability of Ethereum by moving to the proof-of-stake algorithm. The upgrade will begin to be deployed in early 2020.

However, Buterin argued that the use of other blockchains may be a solution for improving the scalability of Ethereum in the short term.

An alleged law ban on cryptocurrency in India is online

Indian lawyer Varun Sethi posted online an alleged bill entitled “Prohibition of cryptocurrency and regulation of official digital coins”. It proposes prohibiting or restricting to a great extent the entire activity related to cryptocurrency within the country. The only exception mentioned is the possible cryptocurrency issued by the Indian state.

The information has not been officially confirmed and some authorities mentioned in the document have denied participation in this project.

Russia postpones legislation on cryptocurrency for the fall

Russia’s Finance Minister announced that the two laws on the blockchain and crypto industry will be postponed to the autumn session. According to a report by the Russian news agency Tass, the authorities are still trying to decide what types of activities associated with cryptocurrency that should be allowed.

State Duma Commodities Commission Chairman Anatoly Aksakov argued that Russians will be able to buy and sell crypto money on international exchanges. However, their use as a payment method will not be allowed.

The bitblender.co mixer suspended from a trial

The bitblender.co site, specialized in crypto money mixing services, was suspended from a trial. A group of users claim that the organization behind the mixer has stolen BTC worth more than $ 25 million. Victim lawyer Jonathan Levy also requested suspension of the bitblender.io site, which belongs to the same organization.

Levy estimates that 99% of Bitblender transactions are of a criminal nature and that in recent years several billion dollars have been washed in Bitcoin through the site.

EUROPOL tried to take measures to reduce the mixer phenomenon, but with very limited success.
