MSI introduced motherboards on the Intel z590 chipset

In early 2021, the world’s leading motherboard manufacturer MSI announced the imminent launch of the latest products based on Intel 500 series platform. MSI Intel 500 series motherboards will officially launch today on January 27.

As mentioned in MSI’s official announcement, all MSI 500 series motherboards with 11th Gen Intel Core processors support PCIe 4.0, and all Z590 Wi-Fi motherboards support at least one 2.5Gbps LAN and the latest solution Wi-Fi 6E, delivering fast speeds when streaming, gaming, and even working from home.

The entire MSI Z590 series has an updated VRM power design. The MEG Z590 GODLIKE has 20 phases at 90 A, while the MEG Z590I UNIFY has 8 phases at the same 90 A. The rest of the MEG series motherboards will have 16 phases at 90 A.

In addition, MSI Z590 motherboards have at least 6 layers of copper. MEG series motherboards have up to 8 layers, while MEG Z590I UNIFY has 10 layers. To ensure the best gaming experience, all MSI Gaming Series products are server grade PCBs.

All MSI Z590 motherboards use USB 3.2 Gen2x2 protocol, capable of transferring up to 20Gbps through the Type-C port. The built-in 40Gbps Thunderbolt 4 ports are exclusive to the MEG series and support six daisy-chain devices.

In addition, Dragon Center has been updated with a new user interface design and enhanced features. The MEG Z590 GODLIKE and MEG Z590 ACE boards have Audio Boost 5 HD with the new ALC 4082 audio processor and ESS codec. Thanks to the hardware and software, users can enjoy good clear sound.

MEG series

Combining powerful performance and aesthetic design, MSI MEG Series is a true work of art that all users would like to have. The MEG Z590 ACE board has a classic black color, decorated with gold ornaments. In addition to the aluminum lid, the MEG Z590 ACE has a VRM heatsink, heatpipe and heat pad to reduce the temperature around the processor, and all four M.2 slots are also covered with heatsinks.

MSI has done an excellent job of improving heat dissipation from the board compared to the MEG Z490 ACE. After conducting internal tests, the temperature of the front and back sides of the MEG Z590 ACE PCB decreased by 21% and 15.8%, respectively, and for the MEG Z590 GODLIKE by 27% at the front and 16% at the rear.

As for the MEG Z590 GODLIKE, MEG Z590 UNIFY and MEG Z590I UNIFY boards, they are expected to hit the market in the coming days.
