Taurus Group raises more than € 10M from Arab Bank Switzerland and others

In a Series A financing round led by Arab Bank Switzerland, Taurus Group, a fintech specializing in infrastructure for digital assets, has collected more than 10 million euros.

According to a press release shared with Cryptaut, this funding (8-digit sum not given) will allow the Geneva-based company to expand its activities and extend its services to new financial centers, starting with Paris, Frankfurt and London.

Founded in Switzerland in 2018, Taurus Group offers a full suite of services for cryptocurrencies including advisory, custody and brokerage services for Bitcoin and Ethereum. Fintech plans to add the XRP from Ripple to its offer over the next month.

Taurus is already well established in Switzerland and we have seen growing demand from other European countries, in particular the France, the UK and the DACH region, ”said Sebastien Dessimoz, co-founder of Taurus Group.

Investors include Arab Bank Switzerland, a Swiss bank that has been using Taurus solutions for several months, but also the Swiss private bank Lombard Odier, the real estate group Invested, the Tezos foundation and private investors whose identities have not been disclosed.

This fall, the Swiss crypto-bank SEBA announced to start using Taurus Group's custody solution. Baptized Taurus-Protect, it strengthens the storage infrastructure of SEBA Bank, in particular thanks to its hot storage mode, which offers a "high level of flexibility" for the conservation of digital assets.
