Test – Asus ROG Ryujin 240 & 360 – AIO kits with OLED display
| Specs | Price

Introduction

Hi all!

Asus is diversifying more and more, not to say that they have touched everything recently. Indeed, after the Thor power supplies, the manufacturer now offers us AIO kits, including the ROG Ryujin 240 and 360 from today’s test! To stand out, and as we have seen on their power supplies Asus offers us an OLED screen and fans entrusted to a known manufacturer (and not the least, we will see later!).
On the other hand, and even if we do not yet have the price in France, they are available at £ 210 (€ 235) for the 240 mm version and £ 250 (€ 280) in 360 mm, which is to say that it hurts so much. that very few of us will pass the course! Anyway, let’s see what the two AIO kits are up to.

From the point of view of technical characteristics, it is difficult to differentiate the Asus ROG Ryujin from other models on the market. Indeed, the radiators are of standard size, namely 27.7 cm in length for the 240 mm and 39.4 cm for the 360 mm, for 2.7 cm in thickness and 12 cm in width. It is however a shame, considering the price to end up with aluminum fins and not copper, which allows heat transfer for fast (but which costs more).
Originally, Asus offers us two fans for the 240 and three for the 360, logical! On the other hand, the manufacturer went to see directly one of the best manufacturers on the market (if not the best), Noctua! These are Industrial PPC PWMs running at a maximum speed of 2000 RPM (which we tested here). Individually, it takes no less than 25 € to get them and they are guaranteed for 6 years, which means that Asus did not go dead hand, like Seasonic for its Thor power supplies. The other strong point is of course the customizable 1.77 ″ OLED screen compatible with the Asus Aura Sync software, which is what will encourage some to buy.

Unpacking and bundle

Particular care has been taken in the box, which clearly shows its high-end side. We are faced with a box which is particularly qualitative (if we can say that of a box …), solid and which will not suffer during transport, as long as no one jumps on it with both feet of course. On the front, the ROG logo is present, with of course the name of the model, a photo of the beast and the highlighting of the partnership with Noctua and its Industrial PPLs.

At the rear, a listing of the strengths of the beast is available, namely the OLED screen, a fan integrated into the waterblock, Aura sync compatibility and of course the Noctua fans. On top of that, we have all the technical specifications, it’s always good to know what you’re buying!

When opening the box, we come across a rather classic vision, with each element in its plastic bag, all in a cardboard mold. There isn’t really much that sets the Ryujin apart from other competitors here, other than the ROG logo welcoming us!

Bundle level, there are not as many accessories as ROG products in general, with nothing other than the necessary hardware and a quick installation guide.
