Introduction

Hi all!

be quiet! does not stubble, whether it is at the level of the boxes, with the Silent Base 601 released recently or even the cooler with the update of its Dark Rock. Today, the manufacturer offers us a brand new version of its entry-level power supplies, the Pure Power 11! They therefore succeed the Pure Power 10 released in early 2017, which was only a small evolution of the Pure Power 9.
Once again we have two different versions, with or without modular cables, at prices ranging from 65.90 (400 Watts) to 104.90 € (700 Watts) for the modular Pure Power 11 and from 47.90 (300 Watts) to 90.90 € (700 Watts) for the non-modular. We offer you a small test of the non-modular 500 Watts version today, which is displayed at 69.90 €. Let’s see what it gives!

The be quiet! Pure Power 11 500 is therefore a power supply sold to be able to deliver 500 watts to the components, and like any good entry-level model the 12V does not provide all of this power. Despite everything, with 480 Watts spread over 2 rails of 28A and 20A, we are not far away and there is nothing to complain about. The main improvement over the Pure Power 10 is of course the move to 80Plus Gold certification, which ensures a maximum efficiency of 92% at 50% load (230V standard), figures which are therefore excellent and which will ensure a release of heat contained in the block. Gone are the days when this certification was only for high-end models, so the 80Plus Gold is now starting to replace the 80PLus Bronze, which is a good thing! The dimensions are very contained, with a length of 15 cm, enough to install it without worries in almost all ATX or micro ATX boxes on the market, however beware of the large bundle of cables that comes out, given the absence modularity.
The other change is the change from a 3-year warranty to 5 years, which is more fashionable and with a price of around 70 € it is much better placed than the older generation. However, at this price it will be necessary to see if there have not been too many cuts in the quality of the components.

Box and bundle

The box does not change a bit compared to what you can see from be quiet! habitually. There is a photo of the beast on the front, on a black background with of course the name of the model, the logo of the brand and the power of the block. At the rear, technical information is available, the length of the cables, the number of connectors as well as the dimensions and the power distribution table, so everything is not necessary.

Cost reduction requires, inside you should not expect great luxury, only a cardboard flap protecting the block, itself in bubble wrap, it does not change much anyway!

The bundle is quite simply identical to the Pure Power 10, namely a small manual, the power cord as well as some plastic cable ties and 4 fixing screws. The main thing is therefore there, we are in any case facing a diet, as long as we can fix it there is not really much more need.
