Test – be quiet! Straight Power 11 550
| Specs | Price

Introduction

Hi all!

As said previously be quiet! has been offering us for a few days a new version of the Straight Power range, soberly called 11 so as not to worry too much or to mislead the potential buyer, which is not bad! On the program a fully modular unit certified 80Plus Gold and of course made to be as quiet as possible, the same goes for the name of the brand 😉
Several models are available ranging from 450 to 1000 Watts for a price ranging from 105 to 209 €, it is the 550 Watts version offered at 115 € which will be tested today. Given the current market and the aggressive prices offered by the competition for power supplies of this type, such as the Seasonic Focus Plus Gold (~ 90 € for the 550) or the Corsair RMx (~ 95 €) we can sleep and say that the Straight Power 11 are expensive, see if this is warranted during testing.

Unpacking and bundle

The box follows the trend of what the brand has always done, namely sobriety above all and we will not complain! Indeed there is a small photo of the beast in profile accompanied by the name of the model, the logo of the brand as well as a small listing of the strong points, all on a black background.

At the back another listing of the strong points (silent operation, high efficiency and so on and the best) as well as the presentation of all the cables (and the connectors associated with it) and their length, which is quite nice and too rare for my taste. A table showing the power distribution is also there, we can also see that the block instead of using a single 12V rail is split into 4 rails.

Inside we find the manual placed on the power supply in its bubble wrap, there should not be any worries during transport.

The bundle is rather sparse, apart from the manual, the power cord and the screws only plastic cable ties are present, a pity not to have scratchs.
