Introduction

Hi all !

While some manufacturers are fighting over the high end of CPU coolers, including bequiet! of course with its Dark Rock and Dark Rock Pro, the entry-level models are perfectly suited to replace the coolers delivered with the CPUs which can be noisy and inefficient. In addition, the price is also significantly milder and there is no need for more to maintain an unoverclocked CPU. The Pure Rock Slim from bequiet! has been a benchmark in the field for years and its successor Pure Rock Slim 2 is now available at the same price of € 26. What is the newcomer worth? This is what we will see!

As we can see, we are facing a very small beast 13.5 cm high by 9.7 cm wide and 8.2 cm deep for a weight of 385 grams. But the Pure Rock Slim 2 is slightly more imposing than its predecessor, a little more cm in height. This small change allows to increase the dissipation surface of ten Watts and the newcomer now allows to contain a CPU of up to 130 Watts. The rest is identical to its big brother with three copper heat pipes (not nickel-plated) in direct contact with the CPU and the aluminum radiator is cooled by the same bequiet fan! Pure Wings 2 92 mm in diameter and rotating at a maximum speed of 2000 RPM. As for the price, it does not move and remains confined to 26 €.
