Test – Raijintek Thetis – Config Consulting
| Specs | Price

Hi all!

A new brand makes its debut at Conseil Config, Raijintek! The brand is very young on the market, launched in 2013 it was however able to make a name for itself in all this jungle and it is time to see what their products are worth 🙂 On the program a test of their latest case, the Thetis! ATX format, compact, completely in aluminum and a sober look are the main characteristics of the beast, a mix that is generally not very easy to combine when you want to do things well, to see during tests!
Who says aluminum says price that generally goes with it, here the Raijintek Thetis is available around € 99.90 which is not necessarily very high for this type of case, even if it still remains a certain amount. Let’s take a closer look at all of this.

As we can see the beast is rather discreet, in terms of its size with only 36.6 cm in length, 36 cm in height and 21 cm in width, less than some mini-ITX boxes while it is in ATX format but also of its weight which is only 4.8 kg. This weight is partly explained by the aluminum used for the entire exterior part, but which is only 1.5 mm so really thin, this does not promise any good for the vibrations that will be transmitted by the hard drives (even if there are anti-vibration rubbers).
In terms of storage and compactness requires it is not huge with 2 x 3.5 ″ and 2 x 2.5 ″, which will in any case be sufficient for almost all users, those who want more can turn to another model of anyway, the Thetis is not made to make a storage server 😉 As for a growing number of boxes there is no 5.25 ″ slot here, there will be no room anyway!
Regarding ventilation Raijintek provides a 12 cm fan on the back, equipped with a white LED. It will also be possible to install 1 or 2 fans 12 cm above. Compatibility with radiators is of course present, 120 mm at the front or 120/240 mm above, enough to cool a processor without the slightest problem.
Offered at a price of around 100 € (with or without a tempered glass panel) the Raijintek Thetis could prove interesting for those who swear by aluminum and want a compact chassis.

The cardboard could not be more classic, we find the logo of the brand and the name of the model of course as well as 2 diagrams representing it. There is no excessive marketing here that would make you vomit, and clearly that’s not a bad thing!

On the side there is a table of technical characteristics, everything is there in case you buy the case in a shop, even if this tends to be less and less the case 🙂

In the box the box is in a plastic bag all sandwiched between 2 polystyrene plates, so transport should not be a problem.

The bundle is reduced to a union minimum, there is a manual, the necessary screws of course, 2 cable clamps as well as a small speaker which will plug directly into the motherboard (and which is becoming increasingly rare in boxes). Despite everything everything is present to allow the installation of a complete configuration.
