The best TVs under 1000 euros, from 32 to 75 inches, April 2020

During this time of quarantine, the television has become even more central to home entertainment. From movies to gaming, passing through streaming services, television is fundamental to occupying time, fortunately the market has never been so rich in alternatives if you are looking for a new model.
Today, with less than € 1000, you can buy excellent products and, for those looking for a large screen, there is no lack of opportunities to take home huge products for relatively little.

Best TVs up to 32 inches

If you can, don't buy a 32-inch or smaller TV. Unfortunately, the market has focused on the larger cuts, the result is that from 32 inches onwards you can buy only products with dated technologies, or the worst of the worst quality. The only model that can make sense is theLG LM6300 from 32 inches at around 224 euros, with IPS panel and Direct LED backlight. Its strength is not so much the visual quality as it is the webOS operating system, the same as the larger and more expensive models from LG.
This allows access to the main streaming platforms without the need for an external box. Very often, in fact, low-end products do not have an operating system capable of working with Netflix and the like, at other times they have a very Spartan interface. With the LG LM6300 this does not happen, moreover in case of problems LG assistance centers are certainly not lacking in Italy.

Best Full HD and 4K TVs from 40 to 43 inches

Going up to 40 and 43 inches the situation improves, especially in the choice possibilities. For those who want to spend little there is the Hyisense BE5500 from 40 inches to about 269 euros, with VA panel, Direct LED backlight and Full HD resolution. If you are looking for a superior viewing quality you can opt for the Panasonic GX810 at about 593 euros, 40 inches, with VA panel and support for all HDR standards, including Dolby Vision and HDR10 +.
Moving to 43 inches there is instead theHisense BE7200 at 329 euros, also with VA panel and Direct LED backlight, which does not lack support for HDR.
Our preference goes to the VA panels because compared to the IPS they generate more intense blacks, while those of the IPS tend too much to the gray. But if you like Ambilight technology, which uses LEDs on the back of the TV to project contextual colors to the content on the wall, then the Philips PUS7304 43-inch becomes the only possible choice, despite the IPS panel.

The cost is higher, it comes to about 478 euros, but you have access to Android TV, convenient for the high number of applications and for integration with Android phones. The Philips TV also supports Dolby Vision and HDR10 + standards.
Do not underestimate also the Samsung RU7400, sold for about 333 euros, with IPS panel and Tizen operating system, also rich in applications and compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple AirPlay.

Best 4K TVs from 49 to 50 inches

When you get to cuts between 49 and 50 inches you can find good quality televisions, even Full Led models, at a price below € 1000. The Samsung Q70R is true security, thanks to its VA panel with Quantum Dot, for a better color representation. Do not miss the HDR1000 certification, compatibility with HDR10 and HDR10 + and finally the Full Led backlight. The operating system is the excellent Tizen OS, also present on the high-end models of the Korean house. The online price varies between 719 and 780 euros, but the quality of vision is high, difficult to find better at this price and with this size.
Staying on a well made product we find the Sony XG9005, which is at the same level as Samsung's rival in terms of price and quality of vision. We are facing a Full LED with VA panel, but this time with a refresh rate of 100 Hz, more suitable for content with fast-moving scenes, such as sports and gaming. The Q70R also defends itself well in gaming, thanks to a solid Gaming Mode, but the panel is 60 Hz in this 49 "variant, for 120 Hz you have to go up to the 55-inch one.

Returning to the Sony TV, we can only underline the full compatibility with HDR10 and Dolby Vision, especially the latter is an added value because it is more widespread than the HDR10 +. If you want to spend less, making compromises with the peak brightness in HDR, there is a true champion of the value for money, theHisense U7BE, from the cost of 499 euros in its 50-inch variant. VA panel, compatibility with Dolby Vision and with the major streaming platforms allow this TV to offer good viewing quality at an advantageous price.

Best 55 "4K TVs

Large cuts are now easy to find under € 1000. With the 55-inch models you can take home products with high viewing quality, especially if you choose the right models. In this price range Sony and Samsung are preferred, Hisense and TCL also offer excellent products and at lower prices, but often limited in peak brightness or in the referesh rate.
The best 55-inch TV that you can buy at the lowest price is the Samsung RU8000, with VA panel and 120 Hz refresh rate, proposed these days at 499 euros. At this figure we have not found other TVs with a 120 Hz refresh rate, important for better motion management.
Going up with the price you can find the Samsung Q70R, this time with a 55-inch 120 Hz panel at around 799 euros, or the Sony XG9005 for about € 999, which we have previously talked about. The specifications do not change, two excellent televisions remain even in the largest cut.

Based on the offers, at € 999 we also find the Samsung Q82R, with 120 Hz refresh rate, which has a greater number of backlight zones than the Q70R. Unlike the Q70R and the Sony XG9005 we find a native 10-bit panel, obtained therefore without the use of techniques such as time dithering, which simulate the presence of a greater number of colors.
We set the spending cap for this guide at 1000 €, if you can go up to 1100 or 1200 some excellent OLED televisions also come into play, which we will talk about in the next appointment with TVs costing over € 1000.

Best 65 "and 75" 4K TVs

At 65 inches there are no alternatives, LCD technology remains the only possibility. Even if you slightly go up with the budget above 1000 € it is impossible to find OLED TVs of this size and at this price. Despite this, you can find excellent TVs under € 1000 with a high diagonal, starting from Samsung Q80R, proposed online for around € 999. Characterized by a 10-bit 120 Hz VA panel and by the presence of the Quantum Dot and the Full Led backlight, this is a particularly interesting model for its cost, certainly a great way to enter the world of 65 inches. Too bad for the absence of Dolby Vision, replaced by HDR10 and HDR10 +.
Can you spend less? Of course, but you have to give up the Full LED backlight with theHisense U8BE, costing around 849 euros. Compared to Samsung, here we find compatibility with the Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos standards, for a model with a good quality-price ratio.

Going up to 75 inches the quality of vision is lower but the wide diagonal has other advantages, the impact of the images becomes impressive, the size matters. The Samsung RU7170 75-inch costs only 860 euros and offers a 60 Hz VA panel with Edge Led backlight. Hisense also has an interesting proposal with the BE7410 for € 799, with Direct LED backlight and VA panel at 60 Hz.
