The Face ID and law enforcement scandal

Face ID

It recently leaked to light that the FBI and other law enforcement agencies were unlocking the iPhone using Face ID. Now the computer forensics company has said it will not deal with iPhones equipped with this technology.

What is the reason for this? Well, with too many unsuccessful attempts to unlock with the face, the smartphone can only be unlocked with a password. Forcing a password to pass is a violation of the fifth amendment. On the other hand, face unlocking is completely correct. Elcomsoft has just made a presentation in which the authorities can force you to disable Face ID and switch to the password. Then such a phone is operated by companies that break security.

This approach must be followed by the police. Since the rest of the stuff is illegal, the use of Face ID must also join it. I will not be surprised when there will be a new amendment or something else in the US that includes face unlocking.
