Face ID in iPhone Xs is much faster than its predecessors

It turned out that the Xs model does it much faster in both good and bad lighting. The difference is believed to be related to the A12 Bionic processor, which is more efficient and can learn our patterns. Compared to its predecessor, processing efficiency per unit of time has increased from 60 million to 5 trillion, which is a huge difference.
