The first Long March 6A has been launched. This is China's newest rocket

On March 29, the first launch of the Chinese Long March 6A rocket took place, accompanied by the launch of two satellites into orbit. The Long March 6A is an example of a two-stage rocket with four auxiliary solid fuel side engines attached.

The Chinese Long March 6A rocket can carry up to four tons of payload at an altitude of 692 km

The 50-meter long Long March 6A rocket launched both satellites into a solar-synchronized orbit (SSO) after launching from the Taiyuan (convert to US dollar) Satellites Launch Center, completing its first orbital flight. It is the Tiankun-2 satellite for space environment detection and Pujiang-2 for “scientific experimental research, land and resource inventory and other tasks”.

This successful launch of Long March 6A is important in that it also marked the inaugural mission for a new launch facility built specifically for this type of rocket at Taiyuan (convert to US dollar) in northern China. The new complex was designed to shorten the preparation for take-off to around 14 days thanks to the use of automated refueling processes.
