Another Verizon Gaming streaming service is launched

After Microsoft’s big announcements related to the game streaming market and the development of the PlayStation Now service, it should come as no surprise that more and more entities are trying to sneak into this segment. One of them is Verizon Gaming, which has already passed several tests.

Although we have not yet put our hands on official information, the Verge website has already gathered all the clues. The report shows that Verizon Gaming is already being tested in conjunction with the NVIDIA Shield, which was distributed to all test participants, on which the yet unavailable applications were installed. The ultimate goal, however, is compatibility with Android powered phones via app broadcasts via Google Play. Xbox owners, in turn, will be in a winning position, because this controller is to be used for gaming. This is what its early library looks like:

As we can see, Verizon Gaming can aim really high, because at the top exclusive titles, but they can also be just so-called “placeholders”. It is not expected that this service will debut on the market soon and I bet it will not happen even in 2019. Currently, the competition is growing (Project xCloud, Amazon service, or Project Stream Google), but the company behind the service in question may surpass it. All because of ambitious plans that likely include the use of 5G networks to broadcast games. The Witcher 3 in the park on your phone? I’m in!
