The Gump bamboo bicycle handlebar will give your hands a break

The Passchier company from New Zealand boasted about its new product – the Gump bamboo bicycle handlebar, which in terms of comfort exceeds (according to the company) not only ordinary aluminum, but also carbon fiber.

According to Passchier, the Gump bamboo bicycle handlebars are the perfect alternative not only to aluminum handlebars, but even carbon fiber handlebars.

Bamboo bicycle handlebars are nothing new, but the more of them there are, the less we will be surprised to hear about them and therefore more often we will use them. Named after the iconic Forest Gump movie, the steering wheel is made almost entirely of laminated bamboo layers. In its center there is only a 31.8 mm carbon fiber sleeve, responsible for connecting it to the stem of the steering wheel.

You do not have to be afraid for its durability – rigorous tests and compliance with ISO safety standards speak for themselves. At the same time, you can be sure that this piece of bamboo will provide you with greater ride comfort, because it supposedly absorbs vibrations better compared to aluminum and even carbon fiber, while maintaining high stability. In addition, it does not weigh much, because it is 330 or 250 grams (depending on the version).

However, you will have to pay a lot for the Grump bamboo steering wheel in the 760 and 650 mm version, i.e. 350 New Zealand dollars, i.e. the price is almost 1000 PLN.
