Lenovo has just shown the world’s thinnest laptop, as long as we compare the Yoga Slim 7 Carbon model only to models with 14-inch OLED screens. Otherwise, this proud name will not belong to him, although this laptop, priced at $ 1289.99, will still offer a lot, because solid components and, among others, Windows 11 to start after its premiere on the market in October.

Let’s start with what is most important, which is the physicality of the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Carbon. This one includes a magnesium alloy housing combined with carbon fiber, which provided the equipment with adequate strength while maintaining low weight and modest thickness. This laptop weighs just 1.1 kilograms, and its thickness is only 14.9 mm, and while it sounds like something we’ll break on the knee, the MIL-STD 810H durability standard defies it with a vengeance.

In the case of the display, a 14-inch OLED panel with the aspect ratio of 16:10, 90 Hz refreshing, brightness 600 nits and QHD + resolution (2800 x 1800) with Dolby Vision and VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500 certificates is used. DCI-P3 color range, allows you to activate the touch mode, and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. In turn, the protection of our eyes is ensured by the TUV Eye Comfort certificate.

Going further, the modest size did not prevent the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Carbon from being loaded on board, among others four Dolby Atmos speakers, or efficient components, because even a Ryzen 7 5800U can come into play, which can be supported by a dedicated GeForce MX450 graphics card. On the memory side, there are 8 to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of mass memory in the form of M.2 drives.

Such equipment should not neglect interfaces and connectivity and does not, in fact, provide, inter alia, Bluetooth 5.1 module, Wi-Fi 6, or three USB-C ports. The built-in 61 Wh battery, in turn, provides up to 14.5 hours of work on a single charge, which just 15 minutes should allow for 3 hours of work.
