MSI announced the first such monitor in the world. What is unique about the Optix MEG381CQR?

MSI has just unveiled its latest Optix MEG381CQR monitor which, despite its great specs, offers “something extra”. This something is the integration of the HMI approach, or Human Machine Interface, which made this model the first such monitor in the world.

MSI Optix MEG381CQR is the first monitor in the world with an HMI

As the first gaming HMI monitor in the world, the MSI Optix MEG381CQR sounds proud. However, in fact, this whole “human-machine interface” is not that spectacular. It boils down to the fact that the monitor, thanks to the MCU (MSI Commander Unit) technology, can primarily display system information in real time on the LCD display on the front of the system. Take a look at its lower left corner, where there is a small display that works with a rotary knob so that “gamers can quickly optimize system performance.” It sounds interesting, but traditionally it requires solid verification.

However, even aside from the addition of the HMI, the Optix MEG381CQR is a piece of a solid monitor. Maybe in terms of the specification itself, it is not the only such monitor in the world, but it is still impressive. The 38-inch UWHQD + panel with a 21: 9 aspect ratio has been curved here according to a 1000R radius and has been certified for DisplayHDR 600 VESA.

MSI in Optix MEG381CQR opted for an IPS panel, which, despite the high resolution and quality, also provides a high refresh rate of 175 Hz and a low delay of 1 ms. There was also a rich set of outputs and inputs, G-Sync Ultimate support, or a built-in mouse-bungee and a special bracket for high-end cameras.
