The Radeon RX 6400 GPU is officially launched by AMD

After several leaks and rumors, AMD launches the Radeon 6400, the cheapest GPU in the line of graphics cards based on RDNA 2. AMD discreetly released the little graphics cardwithout any kind of event or press conference. The RX 6400 comes with an MSRP of US$ 159,99 and several versions of the manufacturers are already available.

This new graphics card made its OEM-only debut in January. Now with the arrival of the GPU to the rest of the market, this graphics card has practically no competitor, if we take into account the current generation of NVIDIA. The least powerful GPU in the 30 Series is NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3050, which manages to outperform the RX 6500 XT. This new card comes to compete with the GTX 1650?

The Radeon RX 6400 is the cheapest graphics card in the Radeon RX 6000 lineup.

The Chinese website Expreview made some synthetic benchmarks. The RX 6400 manages to stay ahead of the GTX 1650, the most basic NVIDIA graphics card in circulation right now, although we can also see the GTX 1050 Ti out there. From what we can see, according to these benchmarks, the RX 6400 has the same problem as the RX 6500 XT: the performance limitation in PCIe 3.0 and the lack of support for H.264/H.265 encoders.

Just like the RX 6500 XT, the new graphics card from AMD also uses the Navi 24 Chip. In terms of its specifications, the RX 6400 is not far behind, but consumes half as much compared to its stronger brother.

We do not yet have information on the price and availability of the Radeon RX 6400 in Argentina.
