The Ukrainians used the acquired Russian TOS-1A heavy flamethrower for the first time

After seizing an extremely lethal weapon from the Russians, the armed forces of Ukraine directed it back towards the aggressor for the first time. The Times reported it for the first time on Wednesday, citing the words of Serhiy Bratchuk, spokesman for the Odessa region authorities. This weapon is the Russian TOS-1A heavy flamethrower.

There is a lot of talk about what the Russian TOS-1A heavy flamethrower can do when its launcher includes thermobaric 220 caliber bullets. As for the use of this 24-rail BM-1 missile launcher on the modified chassis of the T-72/90 tank in the hands of Ukraine, at least one of the examples that used to fire at Kyiv and the surrounding area was used against the Russians. This took place near Izium in eastern Ukraine, and it is hardly surprising after the defenders not only seized the launchers themselves in good condition, but also the missiles used in them.
