This motorized bed lets you eat, sleep and play games in the same place

What is probably the most comfortable gamer setup of all: a motorized bed that lets you eat, sleep and play in the same place. According to the advertising spot for this contraption: “you don’t even have to spend energy changing your posture”.

After launching a gaming bed and gaming mattress, Bauhutte has just revealed its latest foray into the gaming furniture market, a motorized gaming bed.

Although the BGB-100FA essentially looks like a converted hospital bed, it can be combined with some of Bauhutte’s other gaming solutions for a more gamer look and functionality.. The Bed Desk can be attached to the foot of the bed and used in conjunction with various monitor and tablet arms, and even an over-the-bed table for your mouse and keyboard.

The bed weighs 37.9 kg and measures 199 x 94 x 13.8-28.5 cm, as the height of the legs can be adjusted to 13.8, 20.8 or 28.5 cm during assembly. The included remote control allows you to independently adjust the angle of the backrest up to 60 degrees and the angle of the legrest up to 35 degrees.

This would serve quite well for people with reduced mobility

Although this product may seem a bit ridiculous, it could be useful for people who live in a studio where having a separate desk and bed might be unfeasible. It might also be suitable for someone with limited mobility, helping them get in and out of bed more easily.

The Bauhutte BGB-100FA bed frame can be purchased for 59,800 yen ($481), while the package including a play mattress costs 87,375 yen ($703). Unfortunately, Bauhutte does not plan to sell its gaming bed outside of Japan (unsurprisingly)..

However, this may give some ideas to those who know (and can) customize their own game desks. Maybe there is some way to create a similar widget by combining different brands of hardware and why not? maybe even something homemade.
