Three new layouts from Samsung to modern cars

Samsung has shown its new products to power a new generation of modern cars. We are talking about Exynos Auto T5123 for 5G connectivity, Exynos Auto V7 supporting infotainment systems and special PMIC S2VPS01 systems with power in mind.

Samsung’s three new chips are targeting the equipment of modern cars

Samsung Exynos Auto T5123 is by far the most impressive chip, combining a 5G modem that supports PCIe interface, two Cortex-A55 cores, built-in GNSS and LPDDR4X memory. The Exynos Auto T5123 is currently mass-produced and is the first in the industry to offer 5G-based automotive communication capabilities. It is also designed specifically to ensure fast and trouble-free next-generation connectivity.

Exynos Auto V7 is responsible for infotainment systems, so it has a lot to do. It integrates eight 1.5 GHz Arm Cortex-A76 cores and 11 Arm Mali G76 GPU cores. The graphics processor comes in two separate groups, because, depending on the application, either three or eight of them work together. In addition, the system has a special NPU unit that can process visual and audio data for face, speech or gesture recognition.

The list is closed by the least impressive S2VPS01, an energy management system designed and developed especially for the Exynos Auto V9 and V7. The S2VPS01 regulates and corrects the flow of electricity, enabling the vehicle’s infotainment system to operate reliably and reliably.
