Twitch has been hacked but we will not show confidential information or links

Today we have seen how the largest Steaming platform has suffered an attack from a group of Hackers. Specifically Twitch has been hacked but we will not show confidential information or links to safeguard private data.

This information comes through a known user 4Chan forum, which seems to have leaked a file of about 125GB that can be downloaded through the torrent download manager.

In this file you can see the source code of the platform itself, the amount of money that many streamers charge, and something that has surprised us, the leak of what seems to be a secret project called Vapor, which according to the leaked data would be a platform to compete directly with Steam, in addition to other confidential documents.

This information has been verified by VGC, which affirm that after having looked at the file, everything is real and that without Twitch announced this attack, said data was stolen on Monday, October 4. At the moment Twitch has started to work to solve it and that they are currently dealing with the relevant authorities.

You will think like many others if the passwords have also been filtered, then say yes but encrypted, although as always we advise activating the 2-step mode on Twitch and for greater security change the password just in case.

As we say, we are not going to link or put images of anything, because all streamers are still people and this data is confidential and personal. But we can report that payment reports appear to a lot of streamers between August 2019 and this month of October 2021, and that the vast majority charge quite well.

We will inform you of all the news that arise on this issue and especially if Twitch pronounces on this attack and what steps they are going to follow.
