Upcoming AMD laptops will carry a Ryzen 9 6900HX with RDNA 2

It seems that next year we will have ultra-powerful laptops, although we are still thinking about how they intend to dissipate all that power.

According to the recent almost confirmed rumors, AMD would be about to show during its online event of the CES 2022, their new Ryzen 6000 laptop processors.

These processors would carry Rembrandt silicon with refined Zen 3 cores, RDNA 2 integrated GPU and 6nm technology made by TSMC.

The most powerful of these would be the Ryzen 9 6900HX, a chest-pumping processor with no less than eight cores and sixteen threads, and with its manufacturing technology, AMD aims to squeeze both efficiency and performance.

The Ryzen 9 6900HX is clocked at 4.6 GHz, 20 MB of L2 + L3 cache, with 4 MB being L2 cache.

Ryzen 6000 notebook processors will have support for newer DDR5 memory, thus increasing bandwidth, which will be appreciated as some Ryzen iGPUs have often been limited in bandwidth today.

After all this waiting, it looks like these Ryzen will be the first to transition from Vega to RDNA 2, and it will be called the Radeon 680M.
