Valorant will require the TPM in Windows 11 to avoid the ‘chetos’

Valorant

The ‘chetos’ are always the main problem of online games, and more in a competitive shooter like Valuing who gained great fame in a very short time. Because of this, it has now been announced that this game will require all computers running Windows 11 have a TPM module (Trusted Platform Module).

Basically, that equipment that does not meet this requirement, you will not be able to play Valorant, like Microsoft will block any possible OS update via Windows Update forcing this requirement to be met.

The TPM requirement allows Riot Games, the developer of Valorant, lock down players’ computers that use any type of hack, in addition to blocking their accounts and / or IP addresses. This is done through the RSA key recorded in the TPM, which cannot be erased or altered. Each RSA key reinforces authenticity with its associated device, ensuring that Windows and any applications running on the machine know who the system is.

If all goes according to plan, the new TPM regulation should cause big problems for the chetos that are discovered, and that is they would be forced to replace the PC in which they play, or more likely replace important parts like the CPU or motherboard, in order to bypass the ban. It is not clear if switching to a different TPM module would work, but presumably it is not, as you just buy a handful of modules and it pays off.

For the moment, Riot Games only enforces the TPM requirement on Windows 11 PCs, and there is still no official requirement for Windows 10. Of course, they ask for the same requirement that Microsoft asks to install its OS, so it cannot be criticized for anything. If the TPM is now moved as a requirement to Windows 10, there if we would be facing a serious problem.
