Now Meta has announced that Facebook’s facial recognition will be completely removed. The decision was made “in the wake of growing concerns about the wider use of facial recognition, including uncertainties about the regulation of technology,” says Engadget. We are talking at least about facial recognition with the participation of external servers, because the company will not necessarily completely give up face recognition and will most likely use it for security purposes implemented at the smartphone level.
