Once called “Sława”, and since 2000 Moskva – this is the name of one of the most interesting, because the most powerful warship of Russia, which operates in the Black Sea. The name apparently obliges, because for a ship that bears the name of the Russian capital, this project 1164 missile cruiser has not received much comment on the occasion of the war in Ukraine, so it’s time to recall it.
Was the most powerful warship in Russia just a show of strength, or does it actually perform an important function?

This one was seized and the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet in the form of the aforementioned Moskva missile cruiser contributed to it, and then … well – what happened to this ship?

You must know that this Russian cruiser is an example of a ship for destroying enemy aircraft carriers. Hence, 16 supersonic anti-ship missiles P-1000 Vulkan on board … but what for the Russians after such a ship in a skirmish with Ukraine, whose fleet is practically non-existent? The answer to this question reveals the presence of a different weapon system – 64 S-300F air defense missiles, which probably complement other systems that protect ships against the armed forces of Ukraine.
