When studying French you are always warned of so-called Faux amis, i fake friends, words that recall Italian words, but in the other language they have a completely different meaning. It often happens between languages of the same stock, but it can also happen between idioms of different origin. Sometimes a term that has two different meanings from the same root, as happens with the Spanish term 'constipado', which in Spain means having the cold, while in other languages it has a very different meaning: in Italian the word – very similar in handwriting and pronunciation – constipated has a completely different meaning, the same as'constipated' in English. It could be easy the mistake of a Spaniard who says to his Italian and English employer not to come to the office because he is constipated, meaning suffering from a cold, but suggesting something else.
It also happens that there are words with completely different roots, but which can have the same sounds or even spellings and have very different meanings. The case of the Swedish coffee break therefika', always provokes the hilarity of the Italians who go to Sweden.
Google has allowed us to discover that there is a similar case, conversely for, between the Italian and the German. The word 'Muschplural of mossesor in Italian, in German, instead, it recalls the same concept of the Swedish coffee break in Italian.
At the basis of this is the Google-Muschi case on the best known search engine. At the time of writing, in fact, for some reason that are not even explained in Google, writing 'Muschi' on Google and switching to image search, the results appear a series of very explicit pornographic images. The photos mainly depict the subject of the famous painting from life 'The origin of the world'(L'origine du monde) by Gustave Courbet.
