In a few weeks Microsoft will begin to deploy Windows 10 May 2020 Update, the first of the feature updates planned for this year. Formerly known as Windows 10 20H1, what looks like the final test build is already circulating within the Windows Insider program. For those eager to try the next version of Windows, therefore, you can install it through aISO image downloadable from the official Microsoft website.
Through the ISO officially available in the Insider channel it is also possible to perform a clean installation (perhaps on a Virtual Machine or on a test partition), in addition to the canonical update of the system in use. Having the ISO image also allows you to conveniently install the operating system on multiple computers. The only note to make is that those available today are test build, probably the final ones but we are not sure.
Microsoft could discover serious bugs these days and make changes before the release to the public, changes that would still be inserted through Windows Update also in the systems of those who install the trial builds. In short, it is said that the available ISOs are 100% stable, even if they have reached "Slow" channel of the Insider program.
The news of the next feature update will not be many, but there will be some valid additions including the new application Activity Management the type of storage unit (SSD or HDD), the temperature of the GPU, a new backup option via cloud, new options access and more.
How to download the ISO of Windows 10 May 2020 Update
The first thing to do is participate in the Windows Insider program, by performing the procedure through the official website after logging in with a valid Microsoft account or through the operating system Settings. In addition, to obtain the build preview, the collection of diagnostic data must be set to Complete.
Once participation in the Insider program has been obtained, the ISO can be downloaded from the Windows Insider Preview Download page. Scrolling down the page you can find a drop-down menu with the writing "Select edition". Click on the writing and select the version Windows 10 Insider Preview (SLOW) – Build 19041.
