Swift X is the latest news announced by Acer in the range of notebooks intended for the consumer public, which joins the other models of the Swift family bringing as a dowry a AMD Ryzen 5000 processor with Zen 3 architecture and dedicated video card NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3050Ti. The latter is a real novelty, as Swift X is the first notebook in the range to integrate a dedicated video card.
Characterized by a weight of 1.39Kg, Swift X adopts a processor AMD Ryzen i7 5800U with 8-core architecture, paired with 16GB of memory system and a storage solution with SSD sino a 2TB of overall capacity. The integrated battery has a capacity of 59Wh, capable of ensuring aautonomy of operation up to 17 hours as indicated by the company.
The 14-inch diagonal screen has Full HD resolution (1920×1080 pixels) and is based on IPS technology, with a screen-to-body ratio of just under 86% and a coverage of 100% of the sRGB scale. The notebook includes a fingerprint sensorfor safer logins through Windows Hello, an artificial intelligence that suppresses background noise during video calls as well as Acer BlueLightShield technology that intervenes by reducing eye strain during long work sessions.
Thermal efficiency is optimized by the fan, made with fifty-nine 0.3mm blades, and a pair of D6 copper heat pipes. A number of other innovations also improve the notebook’s cooling system: the design of the keyboard, with built-in air vent, expels about 8-10% more heat than a standard keyboard, and a sloped panel above the fan provides up to 5-10% improvement in airflow over a standard fan.
There are USB Type-A, Type-C and HDMI ports for connecting external peripherals. Swift X will be on sale in the Italian market starting from July, with prices starting from 999 Euro including VAT.
