From today Prime Video Store is active in Italy, the movie purchase and rental service implemented within Prime Video. This is a novelty that follows what has been implemented by other streaming service providers present in the Italian market and which joins the different types of video content that the Prime Video service makes available included in the subscription.
The films available for rental or purchase in the Prime Video Store come from major American studios such as Disney, Warner Bros., NBCUniversal, Sony, Paramount, Lionsgate. Among them Sonic – Il Film, Joker, Jumanji: Next Level are available starting now, as well as Italian Rai Cinema and Medusa Film titles such as Pinocchio and 10 days without a mother. All Amazon customers can rent or purchase the contents of the Prime Video Store online on primevideo.com or through the Prime Video app available on Smart TV, Android mobile devices, game consoles and the Amazon Fire TV Stick.
Italy, France, Spain, Canada and Australia therefore they join the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and Japan: these 4 are the first countries in which Amazon has implemented this service. Customers can search and watch movies through the new "Store" section in the web navigation menu, on Smart TV and Android devices. On iOS it is possible to watch the contents previously purchased or rented in the 'My videos' section.
Rental and purchase costs vary according to the title: starting from a figure of € 2.99 for the rental of one of the films on the main cover of the service, passing at a cost that starts from € 9.99 for the purchase.
