The latest survey of Steam revealed that AMD regained market share from Intel. However, the difference between the two companies continues to be quite remarkable.
During last April the fee of AMD rose from 18.8% to 21.89%, while Intel's fell to 78.11%. As we have said, the difference is still huge, but it is normal, users do not change PCs every so often, so it will take several years for the distance between them to be reduced significantly.
The important thing about this AMD share gain is that it confirms that the company is on the right track, that it is doing the right thing, and that it has found the right track.
Windows 10 64-bit continues to dominate as the most widely used operating system, and the 16GB RAM settings remain slightly above the 8GB RAM settings, meaning they are the most widely used.
Most users have quad-core CPUs. The six-core processors continue to have a significant presence, although they have experienced a slight decline during the past month of April.
The most widely used graphics card is still the GTX 1060, followed by the GTX 1050 Ti. Mid-range models have a significant presence, and the GTX 1080 is the most widely used high-end model.
