Overclock3D reports that AMD’s Ryzen 5000 series prices are dropping. These Zen 3-based processors are in stock and have the lowest price yet, even lower than the manufacturer’s suggested retail price.
Although the site focuses on the UK market, this price reduction is global and each retailer is offering the Ryzen 5000 at a lower price. These are the prices that Overclock3D reported:
Although in the United States, the Ryzen 9 5900X went up a bit in price, reaching between $ 590 and $ 610 dollars on Amazon and Newegg. However, the rest of the processors are up to 12% cheaper in the United States, up to 18% in the United Kingdom and 16% in the European Union.
This price decline for the Ryzen 5000 can be easily seen in the following price trend charts. This series from AMD is getting cheaper and cheaper in Europe, with a somewhat slower pace in the United States.
In the coming months, big announcements are expected from both Intel and AMD regarding their next generation of processors. Intel will launch its Alder Lake series, while AMD plans to update its Zen3 architecture with 3D V-Cache. Both architectures will bring a double digit performance improvement over the current one. By then, the current processors from both brands are expected to be even cheaper.
