Earlier, we informed you that Sony is going to release Android Pie on Xperia XZ2 Premium, Xperia XZ1 or Xperia XZ1 Compact. However, problems arose that postponed this from October 26 to an unknown date.
After its resolution, almost all smartphones received the update – the exception was the Xperia XZ2 Premium. Finally, however, phone users can get the latest system. The software number is 52.0.A.3.84. It also includes the latest security patch. Important new features include the new camera interface, which makes it much easier to use.
Owners of smartphones such as Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra or Xperia XA2 Plus will receive the appropriate update on March 4, 2019. It’s good that Sony cares about its users and tries to update the system relatively quickly (looking at others). I wonder which smartphones will receive the successor to Android Pie when it comes out.
