As if the RX 6500 XT was not enough, the RX 6400 is coming, and the return of the RX 560

The Radeon RX 6500 XT was not only heavily criticized by media outlets around the world, but also unwelcome by the community, being in stock a week after its launch at suggested price, making it clear that it was in ultra-demand. short. As if these cutbacks that led to such poor performance weren’t enough, AMD is now launching a Radeon RX 6400, with even fewer Stream Processors than the RX 6500 XT.

Although it was believed that this graphics card would only be available in pre-built PCs, Asrock confirmed in a listing with the EEC that it will launch a Radeon RX 6400 Challenger ITX, along with a new RX 560 Phantom Gaming Elite, a new version of the card released in 2017, which will apparently return to the market due to the lack of stock of current graphics.

As stated by AMD on its own official website, the RX 6400 has the same 64-bit bus and 4GB of memory as the RX 6500 XT, although its Stream Processors are decreased from 1024 to 768, and its TDP from 107W to 53W, reducing its consumption by half, which will strongly affect its performance by significantly limiting its frequencies.

Since AMD has not yet confirmed its launch separately, it is not known what its suggested price will be, although it may be between US$125 and US$150, being another really uninteresting option. It will be interesting to see when this RX 6400 arrives and at what price it is, since perhaps it surprises us and its price-performance is not that bad, or it can also be another failure like the RX 6500 XT.

What do you think about this RX 6400? Would you like me to come to the market to buy one and get out of trouble?
