Bandai Namco speaks out against its performance problems

Elden Ring

This morning we announced that although Elden Ring has been FromSoftware’s biggest launch hit on PC (and we’re guessing consoles too), and while it racked up almost 765,000 simultaneous playersdrew great attention the very bad reviews of the game on Steamand it is that although this morning 70% of the valuations were positive, now they are only 58%and the main problem is still the same seen this morning: performance issues and freezes.

This problem is real when there are so many complaints, and of course, Bandai Namco itself has released an official statement indicating that yes, the problem exists in Elden Ringand the summary is that FromSoftware is already working on the problem, and will continue to work in the future to constantly improve the game.

A message about some performance issues in Elden Ring

We are currently experiencing some issues that prevent the game from working properly under some conditions.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your patience.

Main points to check in Elden Ring

  • Regarding the problem that the mouse is too sensitive in the PC version.

– We will send out a patch for this issue in the near future.

  • Regarding the issue that Easy Anti-Cheat does not start when the Steam account name includes a multibyte character (eg kanji).

– We are aware of the cause of this issue and will provide a patch in the near future.

  • Regarding the phenomenon of frame rate and other performance related issues during the game

– We will constantly work to improve the game so that it can be played comfortably in various environments and PC platforms.

– For PC version, updating your graphics card’s graphics drivers to the latest version can significantly improve performance.

  • About the phenomenon of game data not being saved correctly in the PlayStation 5 version

– If the PS5 console shuts down unexpectedly while playing a game or in rest mode, the save data may not be saved correctly.

– We are aware of the cause of this issue and are working on a patch to fix it, but until the patch is released, please save your game manually by exiting the game regularly.

– Game data will be saved correctly if the game is exited by opening the system menu with the OPTION button and selecting “Exit Game”, then pressing the HOME button to return to the PS5 home screen and exiting the game application once.

We are also working on some other bug fixes and performance improvements as needed. Feel free to contact our support team if you encounter other issues.

Thank you for your continued support of Elden Ring.
