Comparing the performance of the Intel Core i9-12900K with the Core i9-11900K in After Effects

Thanks to information from a man Benchleaks we can preview the performance of the Intel Core i9-12900K with the Core i9-11900K in After Effects, which is a synthetic benchmark. In both cases we are dealing with the flagship 11th and 12th generation Core processors.

The After Effect benchmark revealed the performance differences of the Intel Core i9-12900K versus the Core i9-11900K

The 16-core and 24-thread Intel Core i9-12900K processor was tested on the ROG Strix Z690-E Gaming ASUSA WiFi motherboard with RTX 3090 and 64 GB of DDR5-4800 memory (2 × 32 GB) and Windows 10. In turn, note the best result for the 8-core and 16-thread Intel Core i9-11900K in combination with the ROG Maximus XIII Hero board, RTX 3090 and also the same configuration of 64 GB of RAM, but DDR4-2133.

The Alder Lake-S Intel Core i9-12900K processor had two (unfortunately strictly graphic) PugetBench After Effects tests, where it scored 1573 and 1575 points. The Core i9-11900K, on the other hand, could boast of 1,548 points, which are obviously overestimated on the one hand by a slightly more efficient graphics card model, but on the other hand understated by the operating memory. This is emphasized by the 6% advantage of points for the next-generation platform memory test (138 vs 130.1 points).

In terms of individual results, the Core i9-12900K processor scored 11% higher in rendering operations, but lower in tracking results, where the Core i9-11900K outperformed it by 7%. However, this comparison should only be considered as a curiosity due to the lack of precise information about the clocks, differences in platforms and the very nature of the test.
