Crytek announces Crysis 4. The terror of your future PC?

Crytek announced through a small CGI animation its future release: Crysis 4. Basically there are no details beyond a new installment that is in its early stages of development, so all doubts go through if the same history will be repeated where Crysis made any PC suffer for years, or it will all go back to recent history, where some remasters of its first installments looked even worse than the original games with mods, and its performance was pretty bad on both PC and consoles.

The outcome will take time to arrive, and if they are in the early stages of development, it is logical to think that there are still at least a couple of years ahead to make Crysis 4 a reality.

To all members of our amazing Crysis community, and to all fans of the franchise around the world: We have a special announcement to make, just for you.

It’s something you’ve been asking us for a long time, so the time has finally come to confirm it: yes, the next Crysis game is underway!

We are very happy and excited to bring you this news, and we can’t wait to reveal more details about what lies ahead.

Right now the game is in the early stages of development., so it’s still going to be a while, but we wanted to break the news right now because we’re really excited about the future and to let you know that we’re going to listen to our community.

Crytek is proud to work with our community to develop the games you want to play. Crysis is incredibly important to a lot of people – it’s loved by gamers all over the world, and some of those working in the industry today do so because of the original game – so we want to make sure the next installment in the franchise is the height of all your expectations.
