Description

The HP Validity Sensor is a driver for the fingerprint scanner that is available on select lines of Hewlett-Packard notebooks. Today, the technology of user identification by fingerprints is one of the most reliable and convenient ways to protect information.

The basic idea and principle of operation are as follows: first, the user creates a reference image of his fingerprints, and then, when he needs to log in under his account or access protected information, he swipes his finger over a special reader, which creates a drawing of a papillary pattern and compares it with the image in the database. If they match, the program gives the user access, otherwise access will be denied.

The papillary pattern is unique for each person, and over the course of life it does not change by itself, but there is always a chance to get mechanical damage, cut or burn yourself, in which case the program may not recognize the user. In order to avoid this, it is recommended to register two or three fingers, in case the papillary pattern of one of them is damaged.

To install, download the HP Validity Sensor driver in the files section, after starting, follow the instructions of the installer.
