Elite GeForce RTX from the AORUS series

The premiere of new Nvidia cards is long behind us, but so far manufacturers of non-reference variants keep their models secret. For example, yesterday saw the light of day the elite GeForce RTX from the AORUS series from Gigabyte.

Interestingly, their photos have been online for a long time, but only now the producer has organized an official presentation. In it, of course, he revealed the models of new cards from the AORUS series and pointed to the most important features that they can boast of. So, the Gigabyte offer already includes models:

  • AORUS Geforce RTX 2080 Ti XTREME 11G
  • AORUS Geforce RTX 2080 Ti 11G
  • AORUS Geforce RTX 2080 XTREME 8G
  • AORUS Geforce RTX 2080 8G

Of course, don’t count on the fact that these are very different from each other. In each case we are dealing with a selected GPU certified by the “Gigabyte GPU Gauntlet” sorting process. Obviously, this “screening” has performance aspects as it allows the manufacturer to select the cores most susceptible to OC. Gigabyte points out that the most important elements of the new version of the AORUS series are: innovative RGB backlight, Windforce cooling with three 100mm fans and seven video outputs.

The backlight itself is mainly based on independent circles around the fans. In turn, the entire “innovation” of cooling focuses on one fan, embedded slightly deeper, which turns in the opposite direction from the others. This supposedly prevents turbulence and increases heat dissipation capabilities. Among the video outputs are 3 HDMI, 3 DisplayPort and one USB-C. This is two more HDMI compared to the reference RTX version. Of course, the whole is complemented by the components of Ultra Durable of the highest quality. In the XTREME series, a card bracket to the case has also been added to the set.
