EVGA unveiled the Supernova GM SFC power supplies

Today, assembling a small computer for special tasks is not a challenge, and cavernous enclosures taking up a lot of space are no longer a requirement. While the motherboard market is already full of micro-ATX and mini-ITX formats, good power supplies at a low price are still a bit difficult. However, the selection will be extended by the new series of Supernova GM SFC power supplies from EVGA.

You probably associate this manufacturer mainly with original graphics cards, but its offer also includes several full-size power supplies. However, it seems customers have been asking for slightly smaller variants, which will be provided by the newly announced Supernova GM SFC series. Below I am giving you a small comparison of the full-size model (default to ATX cases) and the smaller one, i.e. the representative of SFF (small form factor). The Supernova GM SFC series will be launched in three variants – 450W, 550W and 650W. All of them will be semi-modular and certified with 80 Plus Gold.

For the 450W version of the EVGA, he wants $ 109.99, for the 550W version – 119.99 $, and for the most efficient, 650W version, he wants all the $ 129.99. As you can see, compact models are more expensive than the standard ones (which, surprisingly, is not available on the motherboard market). Although the manufacturer needs slightly less materials for production, these usually require more work. Therefore, it is better not to buy SFF power supplies for traditional housings, although EVGA provided the “frame” (adapter) needed for such mounting.
