At the moment, we can be sure of the name of the card, which changed from the expected “GeForce GTX 1180” to “GeForce RTX 2080”. As for the naming itself, there was a lot of hype about him, which was finally confirmed by the aforementioned hidden message in the GeForce Gaming Celebration teaser. Despite the fact that only the professional Quadro models have been officially presented, their architecture (Turing) can also be found on board the consumer GeForce. From all this information, I conclude that Turing will actually be found on every model, but only the three most powerful ones (RTX Titan, RTX 2080 and RTX 2070) will also offer a small amount of new RT cores (and maybe even Tensor?). The name definitely points to it.
However, let’s leave guesses and speculations for August 20, when it will all be served to us like on a plate. Now let’s focus on the NVGTLTest007 and NVGTLTest009 benchmarks, i.e. hardware equipped with an NVIDIA Graphics Device. We are sure that this is the GeForce RTX 2080 (or Quadro RTX 6000) model for two reasons. The very “nature” of the leak and the powerful performance, which in the resolution of 4k and 5k exceeds that offered by the TITAN V card. At least now, because similar tests have already been carried out in the database in the past, but presented the performance a bit behind that of TITAN V. possibly caused by the evolution of graphics drivers.
